It’s Summer, it’s diving season. The Club has been active this year and is about to complete season 2022/2023 and preparing to start season 2023/2024.

Upcoming Trips

The club is organizing weekend diving trips to deep pools and lakes in the region. This is a great opportunity for ocean divers and sports divers trainees to practice their skills in a controlled environment. The pools are heated and have a variety of depths, so there is something for everyone. We will also have instructors on hand to provide guidance and support. Join us for a weekend of fun and adventure!

Red Sea, Safaga, 23-30 September 2023

Safaga is a popular diving destination due to its clear waters, rich marine life, and beautiful coral reefs.

Divers of all levels can enjoy diving in Safaga, from beginners to experienced divers. On this 5-day diving trip, you will visit some of the best dive sites in the Red Sea. 17 club members are joining this amazing adventure.

 

Lanzarote, Puerto Del Carmen, 1-8 October 2023

Discover the underwater world of Lanzarote on a beginner’s diving trip to Puerto Del Carmen!
Lanzarote is a great place for beginners to learn to dive. The waters are warm and clear, and there are plenty of shallow dive sites that are perfect for first-time divers. You will also have the opportunity to explore some of the best beginner dive sites in Lanzarote, including Playa Chica.

In addition to diving, you will also have time to relax on the beach, go snorkelling, try parasailing, visit the biggest volcanic landscapes and explore the local villages. The local gastronomy is the highlight of this trip. This is a great trip for anyone who is learning to dive or looking to experience the underwater world of Lanzarote. 9 club members have already commited to this wonderfull experience.

Technical Training

Calling all sports divers and dive leaders with experience and good buoyancy skills!

The club is organizing a technical diving training trip to Gozo, Malta in the first week of November. This is a great opportunity for experienced sports divers to take their diving to the next level. The training will be provided by a BSAC diving centre in Gozo, Malta. The instructors are highly experienced and qualified, and they will teach you everything you need to know to become a technical diver.

In addition to the training, you will also have the opportunity to dive some of the amazing dive sites in Gozo, Malta. These sites are perfect for technical diving, and they offer a variety of challenges and rewards.

Training Season

The training season 2022/2023 is coming to an end. The club has already qualified 6 Sports Divers and 2 Ocean Divers in 2023. The Ocean Diver course is about to be complete and most of the students will finish their qualification in red Sea or Lanzarote trips.

Sports Diver course:

A new Sports Diver course is starting. Registration is open until 17 August.
The club will do its best to offer as much training as possible until the weather stops us of diving.

Dive Leader course:

A new Dive Leader course started in July with the Oxygen Administration course. This is a great opportunity for sport divers climbing to the next level, and for dive leader trainees to complete their training and get their qualification.

New season and new Ocean Diver course:

The club is planning to start a new Ocean Diver course for anyone without previous experience in scuba diving in Autumn. The course is planned to offer swimming pool and theory lessons during autumn/winter and be completed with open water lesson during the spring 2024 and first club diving trip.

More information will be spread in our website and at ESOC and EUMETSAT. The public will be invited for an open evening soon.
